Busch Gardens – Fast passes and fun for the whole family

On our way back to Orlando after our adventures in Crystal River we planned for a day at Busch Gardens. I did a bit of research before we went and decided to purchase fast passes to maximise our time here. Busch Gardens call these passes Quick Queue passes and they are available as Quick Queue Junior, Quick Queue and Quick Queue Ultimate.

I decided to purchase three Quick Queue Junior passes for myself and my two girls which gave us single-use front-of-the-line access to Cobra’s Curse, Stanley Falls Flume, Congo River Rapids, Scorpion, Sand Serpent & Wild Surge. I also purchased four Quick Queue passes for the rest of our party. The Quick Queue passes gave single-use front-of-the-line access to Falcon’s Fury, Cheetah Hunt, SheiKra, Montu, Kumba, Cobra’s Curse, Scorpion, Stanley Falls Flume, Sand Serpent & Congo River Rapids. We were quite disappointed that Cheetah Hunt was not on the Quick Queue Junior passes as my girls are tall enough for that one but they just used two of the other adults passes to go on that ride and the adults stayed off.

Buying the Quick Queue passes meant that the four grown ups were able to go around the park on the bigger rides whilst I took the girls to look at the various animals around Busch Gardens. We were then able to meet up to go on the rides that all of the passes allowed us to go on.

We really enjoyed walking around and seeing the animals and even paying a little bit extra for some animal experiences such as feeding the kangaroos and the Lorikeets.

Busch Gardens is a great place to visit if you are also visiting Seaworld, Aquatica or Discover Cove as you can get some brilliant Multi Park ticket rates but as a stand alone place to visit the tickets are quite expensive. However it does have some amazing big thrill rides so if that is what you are after then I would by pass Disney and head straight to Busch Gardens. With the free travel from Orlando on the Multi Park tickets it is definitely a lovely place to visit as a family and there is something to keep everyone occupied even if they don’t fancy any of the rides.

  1. We went to Busch Gardens for our honeymoon way back in 2012. I don’t recall buying these passes but we didn’t seem to have much problem with queues – must’ve been a quiet day! I really loved Busch Gardens though. That Cheetah ride was amazing! But my favourite thing was seeing the giraffes <3<3
