Nickelodeon Land and Madame Tussauds

Sunday was Mother’s Day and it was freezing. That didn’t stop us heading out for the day though.

No breakfast in bed for me unfortunately but I did get a lovely teddy from Elizabeth and a wine glass from Alison. Once again we got up early and jumped into the car for our next adventure.

We headed up to Blackpool to visit Nickelodeon Land and fulfill another one of Elizabeth’s wishes. We had an amazing time although the cold and wind did make it less enjoyable than if it had been hot. Blackpool pleasure beach was really quiet so we didn’t queue a single time to go on any of the rides and in many cases we went on again and again and again. We found a great little American diner for a spot of lunch which even included a healthy Jacket potato for me and the girls loved sitting in the car shaped booths.

Unfortunately as the wind picked up in the afternoon we started to see flurry’s of snow. The girls were freezing and we needed somewhere warm to visit. We headed up to Madame Tussauds and used out Merlin Passes to gain entry.
