UK’S TOP FESTIVAL OF FOOD AND DRINK RETURNS TO TATTON PARK

Friday 17, Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May 2013

www.foodiesfestival.com

Foodies Festivals are delighted to return to Tatton Park in Cheshire this May and I will be there ignoring the fact that I am on a diet for 24 hours.

Top chefs, including David Mooney of the New Moon Pub Company, star of the BBC’s Great British Menu Mary-Ellen McTague of Aumbry, Thai restaurant Chaophraya’s executive chef Kim Kaewkraikhot, celebrity chef Rachel Green, Brent Hulena from Hipping Hall, Malaysian chef Norman Musa of Ning, and brownie queen Justine Forrest will cook their signature dishes live in the Chefs’ Theatre and explain how amateur cooks can prepare the same dishes at home. They will be tempting me with all of their culinary delights and I may have to wear my stretchy trousers.

Now in its eighth year, Foodies Festival has introduced new elements in 2013.

Cake and Bake Theatre

AEG cookery school run in conjunction with the Cheshire Cook School

Chocolate Theatre

A specially-designed BBQ arena

A Wine Village

Cocktail Theatre

These new elements complement Foodies’ existing features including the Drinks Theatre, Producers’ Market, Street Food Avenue to all Foodies events. In 2013 the Tatton Park crowds can again enjoy the huge selection of ready-to-eat hot and cold food from around the world including hog roasts, exotic meats, tapas, churros, burritos, Moroccan tagines, South American prime beef, sausages, pizza, Jamaican and Thai street food.

This year’s Children’s Cookery Theatre will be operated by local cook school Kiddy Cook who will run a series of workshops incorporating gastronomic experiments.

The entertainment stage features live music acts performing every day.

Ahh Ahh has been a huge part of our lives for the last 4 years and he has been everywhere and done everything that we have done.. We also have Ahh Ahh's brother Ooh Ooh From going on holiday, going to school and staying in the hospital. They even go into theatre with Elizabeth when she has her lumbar punctures. Without Ahh Ahh Elizabeth would struggle to feel brave enough to face these things. It is amazing what a cuddly toy can do.

Woolly also helps Tig face some pretty scary situations in this DVD adventure.

With all the chocolate and sweets that the kids will be eating in the next few weeks I thought now is the perfect time to introduce the girls to the Tooth Fairy.

The Magic Tooth Fairy game by Drumond Park is easy for the children to play and understand. It is also lots of fun with the coin magically appearing under the pillow.

With three very simple to read spaces that say "Wobbly tooth", "Go to bed" and "spin again" it is really easy good at getting the children to recognise what the spaces say themselves.

This game is a new favourite in our house and is taken off the shelves more than any other.
You can win The Magic Tooth Fairy Game by filling out the form below. RRP £19.99
We received the game for the purpose of this review.

<![CDATA[Box of Shocks - Drumond park ]]>Mon, 18 Mar 2013 12:12:18 GMThttp://www.tiredmummyoftwo.co.uk/3/post/2013/03/box-of-shocks-drumond-park.html
With April Fools day coming up now is the time to get planning, practicing and preparing all your tricks to catch out your friends and family.

The Box of Shocks by Drumond park is the perfect starter kits. From tricks to make you jump to ones that cover you in water there is something to try on everyone. Some of the shocks will require lots of practice to get them to work seamlessly and some of them will need you to read the instructions very carefully.

My thirteen year old brother enjoyed using this but people soon became suspicious of anything that he tried to do which did make it harder to do the tricks successfully.

Word of warning though, when using the chewing gum make sure the bottle is completely dry before you place it in the cardboard sleeve as it gets wet and falls apart.

Now where did I put the cling film?
You can also win The Box of Shocks by filling out the form below. RRP £19.99

Barbie has been a hit again in our house and this time she is dancing her way into Elizabeth's heart. When Barbie puts on the pink ballet shoes she is transported to a magical world where she becomes the main character is swan lake.

Elizabeth's favourite part is when Barbie transforms into a beautiful swan.

A fabulous film that captures the imagination with song and dance in the same way that all the Barbie movies do.

Barbie™ In The Pink Shoes is being release on 18th March and you can be lucky enough to receive your own copy.

<![CDATA[Poppet Goody Bag]]>Sun, 17 Feb 2013 21:35:29 GMThttp://www.tiredmummyoftwo.co.uk/3/post/2013/02/poppet-goody-bag.htmlPicture
In my Moshi Monster mad house there is a definite favourite and now she has her very own range of products. Mind Candy has partnered exclusively with fashion retailers Accessorize and
Claire’s to launch a range of Poppet merchandise on 18th and 19th November, respectively. The products will target girls aged between 6 and 10 and will feature a selection of stationary items including pens, notebooks, pencil cases and lockable journals.

Poppet is one of six main characters from Moshi Monsters and is the most popular monster with girls having been adopted over 16 million times. She is a fashionista who loves to dress up and accessorise her look so has a strong appeal with a younger female audience.

She currently has her very own Moshi Missions available to all Moshi Monster online users and my girls are loving trying to find out who sent her a secret valentines.

Fill in the rafflecopter form below to woThe Goody bag contains some Poppet stationary, a Poppet notebook, lockable journal, pens and a very adorable Poppet bag to carry all the goodies in.

<![CDATA[Dino Bite by Drumond Park]]>Sun, 17 Feb 2013 21:18:23 GMThttp://www.tiredmummyoftwo.co.uk/3/post/2013/02/dino-bite-by-drumond-park.html
Save the Dino Babies and avoid the Dino Bite!

A race against the dinosaur, save as many of the dino babies as you can without disturbing the Dino. The winner is the last one left after everyone else has been bitten or the person with the most eggs when there are none left..
Picture
Really easy to clip together and simple enough that the kids can play it without needing an adults help all the time. I love the atmospheric jungle noises that are part of the game play, it really does keep the kids attention and the roar of the T-rex (called Trevor apparently) as he lunges for your fingers certainly gives you a fright.

The dice is really easy to understand and the tweezers are definitely made for little fingers. This is one game that the girls have a really good chance of winning. They are so agile and are able to lift the leaf and snatch out a dino baby with ease whilst I am left struggling to grab one without waking up Trevor.

We have only had this game in the house for a week or so and it has been played with so much. In fact it has been taken in and out of the box that many times that the box is beginning to look very worn and battered already.

Another great title from Drumond Park and another firm family favourite in this house and at £19.99 RRP it is great value too.

For your chance to win your very own Dino Bite fill in the rafflecopter form below.
We received Dino Bite for the purpose of this review
