Did you hear my news this week?

One of my blog posts won a competition that netted me a whopping £2000 cash.

Obviously it was completely unexpected and the £2000 is not in our budget anywhere so we are debating what to do with it.

With all my budgeting and saving we are currently in a position that we are comfortable with. No outstanding bills and enough money to live on.

We also don't need anything. Ok we could do with a new washer dryer but we are in the middle of getting the one we have got fixed. I suppose I could do with a new coat but that won't cost much. We don't need anything doing to the car as it is brand new and on the mobility scheme so what exactly should we do with the money?

I would really like to use it to make 2013 a fabulous year. We already have our Merlin Passes after I sold my blog to the seo companies last month and we have a holiday to Pontins and five holidays to Butlins already booked and paid for.

I am thinking we should use the money to treat the girls and go to Disneyland Paris.. They haven't got any great offers on at the moment so I will put the money away in a savings account I can't easily access and wait it out. So what i want to know is firstly what would you do with £2000 and secondly if you have been to Disneyland Paris would you stay in a disney hotel or stay outside the park and travel in?

If you want to know what blog post managed to net me £2000 here is the link

That's a nice start to the year! We went to DLP in December and it was fab! We stayed at the Davy Crockets ranch and it was brilliant, I highly recommend it but if you stay it's well worth upgrading the the best cabin.
The girls would love it, my 3yr old son and nearly 2yr old daughter thought it was amazing x

I did hear your news and I am very jealous, but well done you. It was a very good post. What would I spend £2000 on if I already had five (??) holidays booked and didn't have any outstanding bills? It would go in the bank for the day when the boiler/washing machine/car went kaput. But then again, I'm pretty boring. Five holidays?? I am impressed.

Now that is a brilliant idea and come on Laura admit it, YOU really want to go visit the Magical land at Disneyland Paris I know I would.
I would love to take my children one day and if we could then would stay in site to enjoy it all without too much travelling about.
If I won that much it would probably go on a car, as ours is on its last legs, but if car wasn't an issue then maybe do that once in a lifetime thing and visit Disneyland Paris and might take the children with me too, though I just said might ;)

Wow, I wish I had that problem! £2000 would be life changing for us. It'd mean no more hiding behind the sofa from bailiffs! I'd use it to pay off our credit cards and our electricity bill! That'd be a third of our debts wiped out! Lol.

As for DLP... Definitely stay in a Disney hotel but I highly recommend paying the extra to stay in Hotel New York. Newport Bay Hotel and The Disneyland Hotel are also very nice. You get the full Disney experience and those hotels are amazing. Hotel Cheyenne was ok but very basic. Avoid at all costs Hotel Santa Fe. It is absolutely the most disgusting hotel I have ever been in in my life. All the furniture was broken and everything in the room and bathroom were absolutely filthy. To the point I went around and took photos of it all! If it was a British hotel, it wouldn't even get one star!

Seriously cannot recommend Hotel New York enough though - its the opposite end of the scale and aside from a 5 star I once stayed at in Mayfair, its one of the best hotels I have ever had the pleasure to stay in!

Have an amazing time. Xx
