Feeding the animals at South Lakes Wild Animal Park

Saturday morning saw us all packed into the car and heading up into the lake district to go to our all time favourite zoo. South Lakes Wild Animal park

Its always a fantastic place to visit with the entrance fees at least half the price of the other zoos and the experience so much better. As a normal member of the public you can pay a small amount to hand feed penguins and giraffes every time you visit. Elizabeth made a wish to feed the giraffes again so we knew that we would be heading up that way at some point this year. Two weeks ago I spotted on my facebook timeline a mothers day experience at the zoo. With entry, lunch and a 20 minute family zoo keeper experience with a choice of animals. I knew exactly what I wanted for Mothers day so I got it booked in.

We had an amazing time at the zoo and as usual we managed to get some fantastic photos of all of the animals including the lions and the tigers. The best bit though was seeing the girls smiles and hearing them giggle as we spent our time in the giraffe loft which is not open to the public.

We also saw loads of other amazing animals and thoroughly enjoyed feeding the penguins too.
