I got some great news in my inbox today, you see I have booked for us to go and see CBeebies Live in April and now Mister Maker is joining the tour!! We were lucky enough to be allocated some of the £10 tickets for the MEN in Manchester. CBeebies’ favourite making-man, Mister Maker, is packing up his craft box and taking his artistic talents on the road to join the channel’s biggest stars in the brand new arena spectacular CBeebies Live! ‘Reach to the Stars’. Fun, inspirational and very good with his hands, Mister Maker has just been confirmed as part of the stellar line-up for this 9-city UK arena tour from 31 March to 14 April 2012. With strong advance ticket sales since the on-sale date of 7 October, an extra performance has been added to the Glasgow run to keep up with demand. For the revised schedule please see below. £10 tickets for the added show will be available subject to availability from 21 November. This autumn’s box office activity suggests that CBeebies Live! ‘Reach to the Stars’ will be one of the hot children’s theatre tickets in 2012! Joining Mister Maker will be Justin Fletcher MBE, Postman Pat with Jess the Cat and the ZingZillas, together with CBeebies presenters Andy Day, Katy Ashworth and Andrew Agnew in this all-action show. Combining big screen video footage and live performance, a host of CBeebies favourites including Squiglet and Robbie Rotten, Stephanie and Sportacus from LazyTown will join in the fun, interacting with the audience for an incredible live experience. Robbie Rotten is determined to show that he is the biggest star on CBeebies! His dastardly plan involves the capture of the other CBeebies characters and it’s up to the audience to work with PC Plum and the rest of the stars of CBeebies to find out what has happened and set them free. Action-packed and full of surprises, the whole family will enjoy singing along and dancing in the aisles! Mister Maker said, “I can’t wait to get out and about with my gloopy glue and sticky tape to help put an end to Robbie Rotten’s nasty old tricks. I’m sure we can come up with all kinds of super crafty ways to sort him out with the help of all my mini-makers in the audience!” CBeebies Live! ‘Reach to the Stars’ will begin its UK-wide tour at Wembley Arena on the 31st March 2012 before travelling to a further eight cities. It marks the first CBeebies Live! arena tour since 2008. More than 550, 000 people have attended a CBeebies Live! show to date and CBeebies Live! ‘Reach to the Stars’ promises to be an even bigger spectacular with an all-new show, massive video screen and more audience interaction than ever before! Tickets now on sale. Children’s tickets from £12.50 and family tickets (for 4 people) from £50 (subject to booking fee). For tickets or more information about the show visit: www.CBeebiesLive.com I know I am looking forward to it and when I tell the kids about it I know they will be excited too. This year I was really organised, in fact I have now decided I was too organised. Yes it was cheaper to pick things up during the year as things were cheap but I have yet to feel any real christmas cheer. I dont have any more presents to buy either so I cant see me doing any christmas shopping in the rush, I usually hate it anyway so why do I feel as though I am missing something this year. I have also yet to hear a christmas sing being played in a shop, I am even considering putting a christmas carol album on my spotify to see if that will help. You know, Christmas has been talked about for so long already that I just wish it would hurry up and get here. Even with Elizabeth getting very excited and our very own christmas elfs coming to stay for the month of december I am still struggling to get in the spirit of things. Talking about christmas elfs I hope they arrive soon, I have explained to Elizabeth that Santa sends an elf to the little girls and boys to ensure that they are being good in the run up to christmas and that her elf will keep watch over her and report back to Santa when we visit him (on Christmas Eve at the Trafford Centre at 6pm, I am already regretting that decision the traffic is going to be horrendous). I hope it will work and that the elf will ensure I have a little angel for the month of december, it will be worth the £20 I spent on the 2 elfs if it works. Anyway one of the reasons I am not feeling particularly christmassy is that hubby wants a real tree, a real pain in the arse is what I think. We wont even be able to buy it until after the Tots100 Christmas party and even then we are working all week so I cant imagine when or how we are going to get one. So at the moment I have an airing cupboard full of presents that is now too full to actually store any towels in and a bedroom with a huge pile of towels in it. Online shopping is a blessing as you can search for the cheapest price but is anyone else feeling the lack of "christmas spirit"? Is online shopping removing the happiness from searching for the right gift? Is it taking the personal touch out of it? Yes you read that right I said FREE!! This is a great little thing from Its your story a personalised E-Book in two different choices The Snowman or Supersox, I did one of each and Elizabeth chose the Snowman story and Alison became Supersox. The snowman story was the quickest to set up and it only required the basic information where as Supersox required you to know a lot more about the child concerned so if this is for distant relatives go for the snowman story but if its for your kid then Supersox is great. Ok its a picture of my computer screen so not great but you get the idea. So how do you get to do this for free you just add one of the ebooks to your checkout and then add the code FREESTORY simples (if you want more than one just do separate checkouts). Whilst you are there why not check out the personalised letters from Santa (heres the press release for more information) A MESSAGE FROM FATHER CHRISTMAS DIRECT TO YOUR CHILD! If you think you've seen every festive letter on the market, think again. This year, with the help of Itsyourstory, you can make the run up to Christmas extra special with a unique photo-personalised letter unlike any you've seen before. The Father Christmas photo-personalised letter features your child in the illustrations dressed as Father Christmas's elf. Share in your child's excitement as they see their photograph on Father Christmas's notepaper and information above them woven into the letter. Each letter is personalised when ordering to feature the child's address, the name of two of their friends, their age and a uniquely personal PS at the bottom of the letter. This will create even more magic as it is written by the sender and relates to something personal in their lives eg – how well they’re doing at school, getting a new pet etc. The letter also reveals which friend or family member has asked Father Christmas to get in touch. Priced at just £4.50, the Father Christmas photo-personalised letter is available exclusively from Itsyourstory.co.uk. Customers can choose from two letter designs featuring the child alongside Rudolf or Father Christmas. The letter arrives in a Christmas-themed envelope addressed to the child and complete with a North Pole stamp. What better way to build the excitement in the run up to Christmas! Have a merry christmas (oh shit its still November but never mind ) It was hard, my muscles really hurt but the look on her face was worth every single second. When I started at 9am Saturday morning this room was magnolia. When these pictures were taken at 5:30pm I had not put the finishing touches on the room, she now has a lovely pink hopscotch rug, some butterflies hanging from her light and all her toys back in there. Just waiting to build the huge bookcase we bought today to completely finish it. Elizabeth used words that I didnt even realise she knew and seemed in awe as she twirled around her room (which was decorated to her exact specifications). So far the room has been described as Amazing Magnificent Unbelievable Magical Tremendous Brilliant Gorgeous extraordinary Marvelous Stunning Impressive I had no idea my three year old knew so many adjectives, I wonder what word she will use the next time she looks. Alisons room is next on the list, she wants peppa pig, I am thinking green grass, blue sky and a big muddy puddle, should help use up some of the left over paint as well. Thank you Boo and Me and Here come the girls for tagging me and for giving me the wonderful award below So I need to tell you seven things that you wont know about me, mmm thats quite hard 1. So using twitter I am choosing some M's @mamabearuk @mammywoo @multiplemummy @Mmeeee @mummyfever http://family-budgeting.co.uk/2011/11/18/are-you-getting-a-bit-christmas-carried-away/ @ourfamilybudget Definitely think I am fed up with christmas already http://misslexywoo.wordpress.com/2011/11/19/tangled-up-and-potential-imprisonment/ @mammywoo I love the tangled rendition http://booandme.co.uk/2011/11/18/laid-bare/ @booandme Hugs and love coming your way misses http://mamabearuk.blogspot.com/2011/11/hello-and-welcome-to-my-blog.html @mamabearuk For a new blogger who needs love and support at the start of her journey, Welcome! http://motherventing.wordpress.com/2011/11/15/to-kiss-or-not-to-kiss/ @motherventing She is always a pleasure to read (check out some of her older posts, they are brilliant) http://mummyslittlemonkey.blogspot.com/2011/11/miss-independent_14.html @Jax2000 I am sure she is describing my Elizabeth, even the labour sounds the same And to the naughty posts of the week @booandme again with http://booandme.co.uk/2011/11/17/sex-marriage-and-broken-vaginas/ and @mammasaurusblog whos fault the whole thing was http://mammasaurus.co.uk/2011/11/17/the-twitter-orgy-the-joys-of-married-sex-and-more-thrusting-thursday/ The reason this got started? http://madhousefamilyreviews.blogspot.com/2011/11/launch-of-worlds-first-erotic-alarm.html @Cherylp59 It certainly made for an interesting evening on twitter but they still wouldnt let us have some to review. And as I spent most of today (Saturday) pianting this is all I have time for (its now 23:54) so I am off to bed but before you go make sure you enter the three competitions I have running at the moment. See you back here soon. Today I had my driving test, I am not a person who worries or stresses about things I just tend to get on with it. However this morning saw me slightly stressed, last night was the worst night sleep I have had in about a year but Elizabeth waking once and Alison waking twice. I woke up with a headache which is actually still irritating me no matter how many pain killers I have taken. So this morning could definitely have been better. Thankfully I passed but that does mean I now have to issue a warning to anyone driving round manchester...GET OUT OF MY WAY!! Today I feel like a bad mummy, not because I have done anything wrong, in fact I have done it for the best but as far as Elizabeth is concerned I was a bad Mummy. Today was Injection day! She was excited about going to the doctors as she loves the doctors surgery, she loves the nurse, she was very brave and sat nicely for injection number one with no noise or wincing, injection number 2 however was a completely different experience. It hurt a lot for a long time, in fact when she went to bed still whinging about how much her arm hurt. It was quite a weird day actually because on the way to school we saw a mum SHOUTING really loud at her daughter (4ish) because she was crying. Elizabeth asked why the mummy was shouting and said "mummy you never shout at me like that". Then on the way to the doctors Elizabeth saw a Mum hit her little boy (2ish) and I dont mean tap him I mean really hit him and he really screamed. Elizabeth turned to me and said "Mummy you would never hit me or hurt me like that would you?" So I have gone from the lovely non shouty non hitting mummy to the evil mummy who doesnt deserve cuddles or to put her to bed because the evil nurse hurt her arm whilst mummy held her I was tagged for this 10 questions meme by Snaffles Mummy What you have to do: 1) Answer the 10 questions. 2) Tag someone to do the same. 3) Go and leave a comment on the original blog post over at Super Amazing Mum and comment that you have done so in order for us to find out who has been tagged and therefore find out more about our fellow bloggers! So are you ready…. 1. Describe Yourself In Seven Words Mummy, Forward, Organised, thoughtful, Cheeky, Resourceful, Messy 2. What keeps You Awake At Night Elizabeth (3) is the main culprit with nighttime molestation from hubby a close second. I tend not to worry about stuff I cant help so I dont stress about money or anything like that. I did have quite a few nights during the setting up of my tombola when I struggled to get to sleep and had to use a nitepad by the side of my bed to write stuff down. 3. If You Could Be Anyone For A Day Who Would You Be And Why? I would be my daughters, I would like to split the day equally between them but to be able to see things through their eyes for a day would really help me understand and relate to them plus I would be able to check how school and nursery are when parents aren't present. 4. What Are You Wearing Now? Cow Pyjama bottoms and a red Winnie the pooh dressing gown (damn I shoudl have read these before I started) 5. What Scares You? Spiders, My driving test on friday, heights, they all scare me but what absolutely petrifies me is my kids getting really ill or not being here for me to cuddle when I want to. You see so many people tweeting about sick kids and it makes me realise just how luck I really am. 6. What Is The Best And Worst Thing About Blogging? The best thing about blogging to me is the community that I have foudn through twitter and blogging and joining Meme's like this one. I have only met one twitter friend in person so far but I count many as friends aleady, ok maybe inappropriate, slightly neurotic and definitely crazy but friends just the same. I will also say that although I didnt set out to do reviews or competitions the generousity of companies and brands has both shocked and surprised me. I now have close relationships with a few PR's and I appreciate and respect what they do and try to help them do it. I also appreciate the fact that my kids now have access to toys or days out that we would never have been able to afford before and for that I am grateful. I am also grateful for my ability to share and help anyone who asks and can often be found googling for an answer to a question someone asks on twitter. 7. What Was The Last Website You Looked At? Unfortunately it was my accounting website for work (xero.co.uk) as I had some more work to do when I came home tonight. 8. If You Could Change One Thing About Yourself What Would It Be? I would change my teeth, I so wish I had had a brace when I was younger 9. Slankets. Yes Or No? What the fuck is a Slanket? 10. Tell Us Something About The Person Who Tagged You? Ooh I dont really know Snaffles Mummy very much, I have been following her on twitter for a while and she is not one of the incredibly inappropriate crowd (that I love reading and joining), she seems to be a loving caring mum who worries a lot but who should spend less tie worrying and more time just living, life is worth it. So for this 10 questions meme I tag: Actually Mummy Mammasaurus Mums guide to insanity |
